You can use every app's installed tools without an internet connection. This page lists the few actions that contact an online service, what they send, and when they run.

Choose an app to see what stays on your PC and what connects to an online service.

Works without internet

  • Profiles, templates, variables, subflows and workflow definitions are stored on the PC.
  • Recorded actions, visual checks, OCR scans and learned audio comparisons run locally.
  • JSON import and export, CSV summaries, and text summaries create local files only when you choose those actions.

When the app connects

  • The app checks Osenpa release data for update information.
  • When the Counter Reader OCR model is missing and you start setup, the app downloads and verifies that component.
  • Screenshots, OCR text, audio samples and workflow data are not uploaded for automation.

Clipboard workspace Osenpa Clipboard Manager Search clipboard history stored on your PC, organize items for reuse, paste them in order, and keep selected text in encrypted Locked Notes.

Works without internet

  • Regular clipboard history, indexes, pins and collections are stored on the PC.
  • Locked Notes uses a separate encrypted store.
  • File snapshots remain on local storage and consume disk space.

When the app connects

  • The app does not provide cloud sync or team sharing.
  • The app requests read-only update metadata at launch and refreshes it every 12 hours while it remains open. It also requests the public Supporters list at launch.
  • These requests do not include clipboard content. History, search and Clipboard Stack data stay on the PC.

Local file conversion Just Converter Convert supported images, media, documents, and PDFs on your PC. Check compatibility first, save completed output safely, and retry only the files that fail.

Works without internet

  • File checks, conversion, and temporary output processing run on the PC.
  • Profiles, watch rules and JSON job data remain local.
  • Conversion never uploads source files.

When the app connects

  • The app checks for update information and loads the public Supporters list when it starts.
  • The app does not download optional external components. Install one separately only when the related task says it is required.
  • Just Converter does not download media from URLs or YouTube. When an input document references a remote resource, Pandoc requests that URL during conversion. Remove remote links or disconnect before converting to keep that job fully local.

  • PDF reading, page operations, conversion, compression and OCR processing run on the PC.
  • Input and output files remain under the paths you choose.
  • Installed OCR language data is stored locally.

When the app connects

  • The app checks for update information when it starts. It loads the public Supporters list only when you open Support.
  • An OCR language pack is downloaded only when you choose to install it, then verified before use.
  • PDF processing never uploads the document.

Research workspace CiteFlow Read and compare research PDFs, keep notes linked to their source pages, search locally, and prepare citation drafts.

Works without internet

  • PDFs, extracted text, indexes, notes and project metadata remain in the local workspace.
  • Exact Search and Semantic Search run locally after an optional model is installed.
  • OCR runs locally after its managed component is installed.

When the app connects

  • At launch, CiteFlow checks for updates if six hours have passed since the previous check. While open, it checks again every six hours. The public Supporters list is requested the first time Donate is opened.
  • Optional model and OCR installers download only the files you select and check them before use.
  • Optional DOI lookup sends the selected DOI to the online lookup service.
  • Optional title translation sends only the selected title text. CiteFlow tries MyMemory first, then Google and LibreTranslate in that order after a failed response.

Storage analysis Osenpa Disk Analyzer Scan local drives, find large files, and check what is using space before you move, uninstall, or delete anything.

Works without internet

  • File and folder inventory, indexes, filters and cleanup eligibility checks run on the PC.
  • Disk scanning never uploads the file list.
  • If a file cannot be read, the result marks it as skipped, protected, or inaccessible. After the app switches from an MFT scan to a folder scan, treat the result as partial. Use the item-level messages or run a second scan to confirm coverage.

When the app connects

  • The app checks for update information and loads the public Supporters list each time it starts.
  • Selecting Google Search sends the selected full path as the query.
  • Do not use this command for a private path. Search manually with a shortened file name instead.

What these connections do not send

Update checks and Supporters-list requests do not upload the files you are working on. A lookup, translation, or online search sends only the query described in its app section. The file itself stays on your PC.
