Short answer
Convert one copied sample first. Open the result and check it. Only then reuse the same settings for the rest of the images.
What batch conversion does
A batch applies one tested profile to many accepted images. Each file still receives its own success, failure or skipped result, so one problem does not hide the rest.
Before you start
- Copy a representative file that includes transparency, small text or other difficult detail.
- Confirm the destination format, dimensions, size limit and metadata policy.
- Use separate source and output folders.
- Choose rename, overwrite or skip behavior before duplicate names occur.
Build the batch
Prove one result
Add the copied sample. Choose its output format.
You should see: the sample and its planned output name in the job.
Read preflight
Run the compatibility check, called preflight.
You should see: whether the sample is ready and any warning that needs attention.
Inspect the sample
Convert the sample and open the new file.
You should see: the expected size, orientation, color and transparent areas.
Save the sample settings
Save the approved settings as a profile.
You should see: the new profile in the profile list.
Add the remaining images
Apply the saved profile to the rest of the files.
You should see: one planned result for every accepted image.
Review the completed set
- Compare the input count with success, failure and skipped counts.
- Open examples from different source formats, not only the first output.
- Check that filenames and folders follow the selected collision rule.
- Keep sources until the destination accepts the results.
Recovery and limits
Use the saved batch results to resume unfinished work, retry failed files, or start over. A target file size is not guaranteed; the app reports when the requested size cannot be reached within its allowed settings.
Available controls can include resize, fit, fill, stretch, canvas, rotation, background, transparency, metadata and target size when they apply. Crop and watermark are not part of this image workflow.
You can add up to 1,000 files directly or discover up to 10,000 files in a folder. Each image can be up to 50 MiB. HEIC, HEIF, RAW, and SVG files work only when preflight confirms that the current app runtime can read the selected file.
