Short answer
In Just Converter, test one picture in Image tools. Once the result looks right, save a custom profile and apply it to the remaining pictures. Review the result for every file when the batch finishes.

Example: turn a set of PNG photos into JPG files
Suppose a website accepts JPG files, but your pictures are PNG. Convert one photo first, then reuse its settings for the rest. A batch means several files use the same settings; it does not combine them into one picture.
JPG cannot keep a transparent background. For a logo or screenshot that needs transparency, keep PNG or choose another accepted format. If you want several pictures in one PDF, use the images-to-PDF guide.
Before you start
- Check which format the receiving website or app accepts.
- Choose one sample with the small text, colors or transparent areas you need to preserve.
- Keep the original pictures and create a separate output folder.
Convert the pictures
Set up one sample
Open Image tools and add the sample PNG. Choose JPG as the output format and a separate output folder. Review image quality and dimensions; do not resize unless the task needs it.
Review and convert
Choose Start operation. In Review before starting, check the format, destination, naming pattern and collision policy. The collision policy controls what happens if an output name already exists: rename, overwrite or skip. Choose Confirm and start.
Open the JPG
Check the picture at normal size. Look at small text, edges, orientation and any area that used to be transparent. Adjust the settings and try the sample again if needed.
Save the settings
Open Custom profile name, give the settings a name such as PNG photos to JPG and choose Save custom profile.
Run the remaining pictures
Remove the completed sample from the input list and add the remaining pictures. Select the saved profile, choose Apply profile and confirm the output folder. Choose Start operation, review the summary and choose Confirm and start.
Review the completed batch
- Compare the input count with the completed, failed and skipped results.
- Open a few outputs with different kinds of detail, including any transparent source pictures.
- Check the output names and that the receiving app accepts the files. Keep the originals.
Larger batches, unsupported files and retrying
An interactive job accepts up to 1,000 files. Folder discovery can find up to 10,000, but select no more than 1,000 for one interactive job. The main Convert screen limits each image input to 50 MiB; Image tools also checks image complexity during processing.
HEIC, HEIF, RAW and SVG depend on the available readers. A sample must finish successfully to confirm that the particular file can be read. The image workflow does not offer crop or watermark tools.
After fixing an error, use Retry failed files only when Results offers it. Canceled inputs are included. Retry with same settings runs the original batch again, including completed files. See how to recover an interrupted conversion for the full recovery steps.
