Control Input Variation in Osenpa Auto Clicker

Turn occasional pauses on or off, inspect the optional session log and keep your automation's text, coordinates and explicit timings unchanged.

Short answer

In Logic & Performance, turn Input Variation on before starting a new run to allow brief, occasional pauses after completed actions. It is off by default. Turn it off when you do not want these extra pauses. The feature does not randomize your text, coordinates, key holds or recognition settings.

Before you start

  • Osenpa Auto Clicker 2.0.2 with the occasional-pause behavior described here.
  • A short, tested workflow in a harmless local application.
  • F12 is permanently reserved for Emergency Stop.

Start here

  1. Establish a baseline

Use a disposable text document or another harmless test window. Review your steps and run a limited test with Input Variation off. Confirm the workflow already works before adding pauses.

  2. Choose whether to add pauses

Open Logic & Performance and find Input Variation. Turn it on to allow occasional pauses after completed actions. Leave it off when the task should use only your configured timing. A change applies to the next run, not one already in progress.

  3. Optionally show the log

Enable Show log if you want to inspect added pauses during the test. Logging is optional: Input Variation can run with the log hidden. The log keeps the latest 20 entries for the current app session.

  4. Run the test from the correct window

Return focus to the intended target and start a new, limited run. Keys are released and clicks or drags finish before an extra pause can occur. Pauses are infrequent, so a single action or short test may produce no log entry.

  5. Check and choose the final setting

Confirm the output still contains the intended text and actions. If you enabled the log, review the time, feature or step and pause length. Turn Input Variation off before the next run if you do not want added pauses. Use Emergency Stop if the workflow reaches an unexpected state.

Check your result

  • Typed text, target coordinates and completed actions remain as configured.
  • The selected on/off setting is checked before starting the next run.
  • Any log entries describe applied pauses, not a complete history of every action.
  • The workflow still reaches its intended result in the target application.

What Input Variation does not change

The current feature adds brief pauses after eligible actions. It does not change the keys or text sent, move a click to another coordinate, change a key hold, or alter timing inside an action.

Scanning, recognition thresholds, timeouts and cooldowns keep their configured values. Recording is not interrupted. Playback can receive pauses between completed actions, without rewriting the recorded actions themselves.

Why the log can be empty

Pauses have no fixed schedule. An empty log after a short run can be normal, especially when logging was off. Do not make a sensitive automation run longer just to force an entry; use a harmless, bounded test.

The log is not a saved audit trail. It retains at most 20 entries for this session and clears when the app closes. It records applied extra pauses, not every click or key.

Check the setting after loading a profile

An All panels profile can carry Input Variation settings. After loading or importing a profile, inspect its steps and this setting before running. Importing a profile does not itself execute it.

A pause cannot fix an incorrect target, missing focus or an unreliable detection rule. Correct the underlying workflow first. No setting guarantees that every target application will accept simulated input.

Stop an unexpected run

Emergency Stop cancels a run even during an added pause. Stop first, inspect the target application and return it to a known state before retrying.

Turning Input Variation off affects the next run and does not undo input already sent. Review the target's contents before repeating a test, particularly if it types text or changes files.
