Add a copied video file. Choose the audio track you want and an audio format your player accepts. Save the new audio separately and listen to it before deleting anything.

When to use this method
This workflow converts files already on the PC. It does not download media from a URL or from YouTube, and conversion cannot restore detail missing from the source.
What you need before extracting audio
A video can contain several audio tracks, such as different languages or commentary. For a first test, use a short local video whose spoken language you know. Select that audio track by its label, then choose an output your player accepts.
Extract the intended audio track

Add the source video
Open Media tools, choose Video tools and add the copied local video. Select an audio output format, such as MP3, from the formats available for that source.
You should see: the video filename and the selected audio output format.

Choose the track and format
Choose the intended audio track when more than one is listed. Review bitrate, trim and other available audio settings. Leave Trim start and Trim end empty for the full recording, or choose a shorter time range. If applying a saved profile, recheck the format and track afterward.

Save separately
Choose a separate output folder and select Start operation. Review the format, destination, naming pattern, collision policy and warnings in Review before starting, then choose Confirm and start.
You should see: the new audio file in the folder you chose.

Listen before cleanup
Compare duration, the beginning, a middle section and the end before relying on the result.
You should hear: the intended language or track without unexpected silence.

- How it works
- The app can extract or convert audio from supported local video inputs using the options shown for that file.
- Important limit
- A wrong track choice can produce the wrong language or silence. Lossy conversion also cannot add source detail.
If the audio is silent, clipped or the wrong language
Return to the media settings and confirm the selected track and time range. If loudness normalization was enabled, remember that it uses two passes and needs the full analysis to finish. Recreate the file in a broadly supported format before deciding whether the source is still needed.
